I am a teacher in a Senior Infant classroom in Ireland (the equivalent of a Kindergarten class in the U.S.). I love my job and am constantly trying to come up with new ideas for lessons and ways to motivate my children to learn. I hope to use this blog as a way to share some practical lesson ideas that are tried and tested and most importantly, placed in the context of a wider unit of work to make them as useful and practical as possible. Hope you enjoy our Senior Infant Adventures in Learning!
Hi there, I was just wondering where you got your 'lets go shopping' song for music under ur music thematic week? Hoping to do something similar on infant teaching practice
ReplyDeleteHi Kate. Unfortunately, this is a song I learned off my mother when I was little and since I've started teaching, I have been looking for it EVERYWHERE online - to no avail. I have considered trying to experiment with finding the notes on the piano, but haven't had the time unfortunately.
DeleteI know this is probably too late for your teaching practice, but Youtube have a LOT of ESL type songs about shopping which can be pretty useful an infant setting also. It sometimes just takes a little bit of hunting!
Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
Hi, I am also looking for this song on You Tube, also remember singing this song with my Mum ?? Help Please.

Don't forget how much time they will spend writing homework and packing up in the first few weeks, so don't be too ambitious with time after lunch!
